What to Pack for a Trip on a SailingYacht

Written by Ocean Week

Are you ready for a luxurious sailing yacht escape? If so, it’s time to start planning your trip and packing your bags. But what should you bring on a sailing yacht? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered! Here’s a list of what you should pack for your sailing adventure on our yacht.

Pick the right bag

First and foremost, you need to consider the type of bag you will be using. Our yacht has plenty of space, but we recommend packing in a soft duffel bag instead of a hard suitcase to maximize space. So, pack light and leave the bulky suitcases behind.

Pack for themed parties

Each of our sailing weeks will come with a host of themed celebrations so make sure you have enough choices in your suitcase to fit the occasion. From the “Lost in Island” and “90’s fever” parties where your most colorful swimsuit is required to the “All in White” bash, get creative and pack your best attire.

  • Lost in Island – Crazy flowers patterns, colourful attire, fruity props. Some ideas for you
  • Pirates Assault – Appocalipse is coming from the Ocean, we will conquer our Land again! Some Ideas for you
  • The 90’s Fever Party – Only 90’s Fashion Allowed out here! We are sure you remember what was fashion at that time! Impress us. Some ideas for you
  • All in White – At least a part of you should be white! Some ideas for you

Take all kinds of layers

When it comes to apparel, pack plenty of bathing suits, flip-flops, and sandals. Sneakers or fashionable shoes are great for nightclubs, and shorts are fine everywhere. However, evenings can be cool, so bring something warm to keep you cozy. Lastly, there are a few things you don’t need to pack. Heavy clothing such as wool takes a long time to dry, so leave those at home. Expensive jewelry is also unnecessary, as we want you to feel relaxed and carefree.

Don’t forget sun safety

You’ll also need beach towels, cool sunglasses, and a broad-spectrum SPF 30 to 50 sunscreen to protect your skin. Don’t forget lip balm with SPF and cleansing wipes to keep you fresh and clean and If you’re prone to sea sickness, bring some anti-nausea medication.

Pack for comfort

Your European adapter, phone charger, and battery pack are a must just like earplugs and an eye mask if you want to have a cozy night in. To elevate your getaway a little more, don’t forget your Gopro, some board games, or a floaty as well.

In conclusion, your sailing yacht trip should be luxurious, fun, and carefree. By packing the essentials and keeping our party themes in mind, you’ll be ready to set sail on an unforgettable adventure. Of course, don’t forget your passport and some cash so you can enjoy your escape worry-free.
